Adding a like/unlike button?

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a like-button (like on facebook) to posts in BuddyPress (and while we’re at it why not add an unlike button as well)?

A member should only be able to like OR unlike a post, not both and should also be able to change what they think about the post (of course also choose to be neutral once again after regretting a like/unlike decision)

And following in the footsteps of facebook any visitor should also be able to see the number of like/unlikes and the users behind them.

So what do you say, can it be done?

Added as a feature, widget, plugin?

By “post”, what do you mean exactly?

A BuddyPress forum post, or just a regular blog post?

If it’s a blog post, I’m quite certain a WordPress plugin can handle that.

Oh sorry, I meant a blog post.

Yeah that’s what I thought, but that is so far and beyond what I can do…

If I found a similar ratings plugin I could get some off the functionality but rating plugins don’t show who voted what in my experience

I did find a similar plugin, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/visitor-likedislike-post-rating/, if anyone could help me edit it so that it shows who voted what it would be perfect!

GD star needs to be adapted in BP activities or wire comments?
