Adding activity feed to my site homepage, how to have 5-10 items?

I have a site I have setup and the code I have added to my homepage to have the buddypress activity feed is this, how can I limit the amount of activity listings to 5 ?? to be sort of like a preview?:

I gave the (li) a set height and made the container div = the height that would display only 3 updates…
