Adding Notifications

Hi guys,

There seems to be a lack of available information on adding admin bar and email notifications to parts of the site — activity mentions, turning all of the email notifications into admin bar notifications, etc. Either that or I can’t find it.

Is there any documentation explaining how to add notifications to the admin bar and implementing email notifications for other activities?

maybe something in the codex, if not then dig around in the file bp-core/bp-core-notifications.php (then each component has instances when adding/removing the notifications)

Or look at other plugins that create notifications and learn from their code. Maybe the follower plugin could be one example that I think does an admin bar notification.
