Adjusting the Follow buttons

    We would like to edit the follow buttons so the button displays “Follow” to follow the user, or “Unfollow” to stop following the user.

    Currently the buttons displays “Follow Username” and when the username is long the button becomes too big and the layout of the button on our members page do not layout cleanly.(ie. the button gets shifted down a space)

    what code needs to be chaged and where?

    I’m also interested in changing the Follow button. I’d like to use a different icon where the button is. I’m wondering where to add this icon if this is possible.

    If not, how can I change the word “Follower”

    If you want to manipulate the output of the button, use: bp_follow_get_add_follow_button
    Then use the necessary php to split up the string and modify.

    `global $bp;
    $my_follow_button=bp_follow_get_add_follow_button( array(‘leader_id’=>$post->post_author,’follower_id’=>$bp->loggedin_user->id));`
