Admin moderated group creation

    Does BuddyPress have a setting to require administrator approval of groups created by users? If so, how do you turn it on? Running BuddyPress Version 1.5.5 on WordPress 3.4.2.

    @ssavvy default way is to go to Settings > BuddyPress > Settings – Groups > Group Creation and make sure the Setting is disabled. Then you could set up a Blog Post or Forum Post or Contact form where users who want to create a group can contact you. You set it up for them and make them admins and remove yourself from admin if you prefer.

    Or, you could limit Groups per user with http://buddydev.com/plugins/limit-groups-per-user/

    @mercime — This topic is a little old, so I wanted to double check if this is still accurate. There is no other way to approve/deny groups once they are added?
