Altering Activity Window Component Sizes

    Each comment or reply in the Activity stream takes up a certain amount of vertical real estate.
    There is:
    A sapce
    User ID and activity type
    Space
    Content
    A last space

    What I would like to do is shrink the blank areas vertically. This would allow more to fit on the screen. Where it would really shine is in making better use of the area available on small smartphone screens.

    Where should I look to alter these settings? Is it difficult to do?

    Lastly, as a wish list item, I’d like for the admin settings to allow for adjusting the layout and spacing as part of a theme option – if possible, no pressure, none at all, just thought I’d mention it…. oh, and,THANKS!!!

    I’m looking forward to 1.7. It would be great to get some of the themes I found into a test setup and see what they can do.

    You can adjust vertical spacing by changing either the padding-bottom or margin-bottom of the elements within the activity stream. You can change it from pixel sizes to rem or em or percentage when screen size diminishes. The thing is, different “responsive” or “adaptive” or “mobile” theme authors do it differently. Therefore a modicum of CSS knowledge will help you adjust any theme to your taste.

    As to BP 1.7: Yes, we’re all looking forward to it for sure.

    Any particular php file in mind when searching for padding?
