Avatar from Register Page not being created

    When a new user registers they choose the picture they would like to use for the avatar, they click next and you get the “congratulations” message without having to crop your avatar like in previous versions so new sign ups all have the default image. I am on the most current official release of BP

    it stinks because now once this happens users don’t feel like going through the menus to change it to a picture they chose in the first place

    Same problem here. Just reinstalled everything with the latest versions, because my previous attempt used subdomains instead of subdirectories.

    The avatar doesn’t get uploaded/created. The full name also doesn’t get stored.

    EDIT: It worked on the second attempt, after removing some avatar related code from bp-custom.php…

    2. Did you install WPMU as a directory or subdomain install?

    3. If a directory install, is it in root or in a subdirectory?

    4. Did you upgraded from a previous version of WPMU? If so, from which version?

    WordPress MU 2.7.1

    5. Was WPMU functioning properly before installing/upgrading BuddyPress?

    yes, still is

    6. Which version of BuddyPress (BP) are you running?

    1.0.1

    7. Did you upgraded from a previous version of BP? If so, from which version?

    1.0 and prior to that RC2

    8. Do you have any plugins other than BuddyPress installed and activated?

    Bp-TOS (terms of service) which is the only possible interference

    9. Are you using the standard BuddyPress themes or customized themes?

    standard Bp-theme only css edited

    10. If running bbPress, which version?

    latest

    11. Please provide a list of any errors in your server’s log files.

    none

    Buddypress 1.0.2 just installed and the same issue exists please any help would be appreciated

    Users crop when they activate – not when they signup.
