Beating the \’ol \”Paid upgrades” dead horse again…

Just putting this question out to the developer community here again…
No dis-respect to James and Andrew over at http://premium.wpmudev.com but I’m wondering if anybody has come across (or developed) any other paid upgrades type plugins or functionality for WPMU and/or preferrably BuddyPress?
I know the WPMU boys are working on a BP version of the supporter plugin but, as many developers here have highlighted, while the supporter plugin isn’t particularly expensive, when you have zero revenue a little can be a lot and we all love choice.
