blog indexing

I just re-updated/enabled buddypress after a long break. The wp multisite install started as a WP-MU install a few years ago, and is up-to-date. In the http://design-manifold.com/blogs/ list, I can see a test blog added today, the main domain, and a subdomain blog installed at the dawn of time, but no user blogs installed a few months ago, which are still active. I have tried re-saving permalinks at the main and subdomain levels with no effect. Do I need to force the issue to re-index the network or am I missing something more obvious? Any leads you may will be greatly appreciated.

    WP 3.3.1 multisite subdomain
    BP 1.5.3.1

As a follow-up, I disabled all plugins except buddypress network-wide.

I guess I can disable the buddypress blog directory and replace it with a blog directory via plugin or other. I need to add my current users as members, since they are not seen by the bp network.
