BP Registration Process

We are looking for the best way to create a registration process within BuddyPress for our WP/BP site. We want our users to receive a welcome email with all the necessary information so they can login.

Any guidance for this process would be appreciated.

We have a very short turnaround, as we are ready to launch ASAP.

this is probably what you are looking for not 100% sure myself if it’s totally compatible with 1.7 but i would assume so:

@djpaul has said he will be testing Welcome Pack against BP 1.7 over the next few weeks. Hopefully he will catch any problems if any.

This topic originally came in to me via email, and the request was “how to include the password in the email”. Which is a bad bad idea.

In terms of email customisation, short of hardcoding some PHP filters yourself, you might be stuck for a ready solution at the moment. I think Welcome Pack is broken.
