BP xprofile meta title, description & image problem when linked on FB

    I would like to share my BP member profiles on Facebook, Here is an example of a member that just recently joined my site

    http://basketball.volasport.com/members/Carlos-J/

    When I copy this link and try to post in on Facebook, I get the wrong meta title, description and image. This is what I get:
    Members
    http :/ / basketball.volasport.com/members/

    I want Facebook to grab the meta from the members profile not the members directory. In this case the title should be Carlos Johnson and the image should be the profile image of my member. I have tried all kinds of SEO plugins, Facebook open graph plugins, but every time I post a member profile on Facebook it seems to redirect to the members page and take that meta. Please help me! This is really important for my website

    This is what happens when Open Graph markup is not on a web page. You’re right to try plugins that provide Open Graph for WordPress, but I’m not aware of any plugins that provide Open Graph for the BuddyPress-specific pages.

    Thanks for the reply Paul,
    But how do I change this? I tried other BP sites and when posting xprofile member links to FB, the proper information appears. The members name appears in the title and members profile picture appears as the post image on FB. Is there anything I should do because other BP websites work perfectly and show all the necessary information when you post a member profile on FB.

    With no open graph, Facebook just guesses. Sometimes it is right, sometimes it isn’t.

    What sites? Give some specifics, have you enquired how they achieved it? Have they spent money on developers to run up custom code, not all development work is always plugins.

    Didn’t have the best luck with WP open graph myself kept crapping out or working unexpectedly. Anyone know if the jetpack JSON API has any bearing on this?
