[Resolved] BP1.7 – Toolbar not showing for logged out users

    In: Dashboard > Settings > BuddyPress > Settings
    I have checked the first option in Main Settings – “Show the Toolbar for logged out users”
    but the toolbar does not display for logged out users.

    I have added: define( 'BP_USE_WP_ADMIN_BAR', true ); to wp-config.php and still no luck.

    I just saw this ticket http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4803 but I’m not sure if there is a fix yet. Can anyone offer a solution? (We cannot upgrade to 1.8 yet)

    Just did a deeper search and found this works for now:

    Just add show_admin_bar(true); to your functions.php in your theme.
