I am now using the plugin with WordPress3.0 and BuddyPress 1.2.5.2. When I use Google Chrome as a browser, the plugin works fine. FireFox (for Windows ver. 3.6.
, however, shows an error saying “a.ownerDocument is null” pointing “/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.4.2″ which reads:
“border”+this+”Width”,true))||0})}a.offsetWidth!==0?i():c.swap(a,ob,i);return Math.max(0,Math.round(e))}return c.curCSS(a,b,d)},curCSS:function(a,b,d){var f,e=a.style;if(!c.support.opacity&&b===”opacity”&&a.currentStyle){f=Oa.test(a.currentStyle.filter||”")?parseFloat(RegExp.$1)/100+”":”";return f===”"?”1″:f}if(ha.test(b))b=Pa;if(!d&&e&&e)f=e;else if(rb){if(ha.test(b))b=”float”;b=b.replace(lb,”-$1″).toLowerCase();e=a.ownerDocument.defaultView;if(!e)return null;if(a=e.getComputedStyle(a,null))f=
Has anybody experienced the same problem?
At present, I should use Google Chrome to see the plugin work… But, it is inconvenience and I do not want my guests and users to change their browser to Google Chrome only.
@jpkoji Are you sure that this problem appeared after my plugin activation? Maybe smth another causes the problem?
@SlaFFik Thanks for your reply. I just wonder if this happens because FireFox updated to 3.6.8, because the plugin actually worked fine on FireFox before.
I am not sure but do not think anything other causes the problem becase the plugin works when I browse through Google Chrome. However, I will check more in detail to see if anything other causes the case.
@SlaFFik Now I found the reason. The plugin seems to be comflict with the WP Events Calendar plugin. I have stopped the WP Events Calendar plugin, and CD BuddyPress Avatar Bubble is now working.
@jpkoji Great! Thank you for submitting this
It’s always a pleasure to know that my plugin works.
There is definitely a conflict with CD BuddyPress Avatar Bubble and WP Events Calendar. I get a jQuery error when I hover over the Avatar when both plugins are active. The error is: a.ownerDocument is null
Do not know which plugin is conflicting.
k… it was definitely WP Events Calendar. To many other issues with other plugins as well. Dumped it!
Due to the fact that this topic is very old and not really relevant anymore I’m closing it.
