Buddypress alignment and mismatch issues

Hello,
Currently I am using a version of the Nimble theme from Elegant themes. After setting up the configuration for buddypress and making all of the necessary pages, I noticed that the plugin seem to clash with the layout of the site. Also there are two navigation bars and I am not quite sure how to eliminate the bottom most one.
As you can see in the first picture, there are two navigation bars. Also in both images, you can see that the buddypress widgets/features seem misaligned and out of place in the theme. I am not quite sure how to fix this, if any one could help, that would be wonderful!
