Buddy Press Search BUG FOUND

    Hi guys,

Found a BP search BUG today.

It’s a little hard to explain but here goes.

1.) Use the drop down search at the top of the BP default template to do a search for a group name. Type the search term, select ‘groups’ from the drop down and submit the search.

2.) This will work fine and should bring up relevant groups. HOWEVER, notice the URL at the top of the page? The URL will have the search term tagged onto the end of it.

For example if I search for the group “PXS’ on my site, then the URL I am taken to is http://sharespeak.co.uk/groups/?s=pxs

3.) Now if you use the standard search within the very page you are in now at the top of the ‘groups directory’ to search for a different group you will notice that no matter what term you search for it brings up the exact same results as your original search and the URL stays the same.

I hope this is clear as it’s hard to explain but basically you become locked to that page.

Let me know if you understand. It’s 100% a bug.

I have tried to report it here but I can’t log into TRAC with my BP.org login details. Do I need seperate login info?

    Thanks

    Ross :)
