BuddyPress 1.6 Beta 2 is ready to test

    Hey Paul,

    Having an issue with the ‘Friends’ activity tab on the main activity stream.

    All others load the content, but the friends one hangs, until you refresh the page. At that point friends activity shows but it seems to be messing up the page layout.

    Happens in BP default with NO plugins active too.

    Could you confirm if you get the same behaviour?

    I’m not seeing that issue in Firefox or Chrome or IE8 on Win7

    What OS and browser are you using ?

    Hey guys,

    Done a bit more digging and I think it’s something to do with the fact that I don’t have groups active on my BP site.

    The filter for friends actually works just fine when set to anything in the drop down other than ‘Everything’.

    Looking at my errors I see this:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function groups_get_group() in /home/rossagra/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity/bp-activity-template.php on line 1065

    Thus I’m guessing it’s trying to pull in some group activity that it can’t find as that component isn’t active?

    Any ideas?

    Nice one Paul! Yeah I used to have groups enabled, so there will be data there, but it’s deactivated.

    I now just use site-wide bbPress 2.1 forums so have no need for groups.

    I have the same issue, if Groups was turned on and then off, on the Activity -> All Members tab.

    I think that case is covered in Paul’s ticket.

    New issue:

    ‘All Members’ tab – count never updates.

    Not using a cache plugin.
    Don’t see this issue on testbp.org, so won’t make a ticket until somebody confirms.

    No caching plugin – object or otherwise.
