BuddyPress and relationships between users and Custom Post Types

I am new to BP and need to get the following functionality:
BP users need to be able to create and edit Projects and Companies (from frontend). BP users also should be able to add themselves as Project member on a Project or Employee of a Company. Additionally an admin for a Project or Company should be able to add other BP users as admin for that Project/Company (like Facebook with Business Pages).Has anyone done something like this before? Any tips on how to integrate BP users with these Projects and Companies?
