Hi,

When a topic is posted from a group this message is displayed in a red bar: “This group does not have a forum setup yet.”

When a topic is posted and a group is slected from the Forums page this message is also displayed in a red bar: “Please pick the group forum where you would like to post this topic.”

Everything else works fine.

I really don’t understand whats wrong, please help me fix this for my members.

BuddyPress Groups Extras or Groups plus i can’t remember which ones crashes group forums even after deactivated and deleted. I had to start back over with a fresh install of wordpress

Just wanted to add my two-pennies worth to this discussion – I had the error posting topic message and the “forum not enabled in this group” message too. I had already enabled forums and previously posted. Somewhere along the line though, I hadn’t realised – perhaps it was during migration to subdomain, that bb-config hadn’t been updated, but when I updated the bb-config in the root folder to match the details in the wp-config, it suddenly worked perfectly again, so double check your bb-config files!

Ok, I did a lot of reading here. I decided to try something much simpler… and it worked for me.

I… uninstalled my forums from the WPadmin area
Made a copy of my bb-config.php on my desktop (just in case I needed to put it back
deleted the existing bb-config.php using file zilla FTP program
re-installed forum WPadmin area(with my forum page I created already selected)

It told me a new bb-config.php file was created. Tested out a post and it worked! I really hope this helps others!

I’m also having this issue, has anybody figured out a different solution?

I tried David’s suggestion but it didn’t work for me.

I’m running WP 3.4.2 and BP 1.5.5. I have created over 150 groups, and really hope I don’t have to rebuild all of them.
