Buddypress Group Activity RSS Feeds Not Valid Mime Type

    Hi,

I’ve been hunting for 1. more information and 2. hopefully out of that some kind of solution to the issue I’m having with Buddypress Group Specific RSS feeds.

I’m getting the following no matter what I do:

RSS Error: A feed could not be found at http://www.mysite.com/groups/hr/feed/. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.

Some feeds work and some don’t regardless of group privacy level, plugins or no plugins, default or custom theme.

Additionally at times the term /activity/ gets injected into the feed url on the front end but not always.

In general it seems extremely buggy

I’m running into these problems on http://rns.org.za/intranet/

Could anyone explain if you know what causes this error or if there’s anything you think I could try to solve it.

@nomad-one The feeds for all your public groups are working. There are no feeds for private groups which is how it’s supposed to be for logged out users.

unfortunately it’s not working, I created a clone of the site, moved the site to a new server, switched off all plugins and used twenty twelve theme, I’m logged in at the site here:

    rns.the-colab.com

Even when logged in, with the group as a public group, the feeds don’t work
The feeds sometimes work and sometimes don’t work, sometimes give incorrect mimetype messages, sometimes just says the feed might be down.

I had this problem on 2 servers, logged in or not, public groups or not etc etc

The feeds are reportedly working on external sites but not on my own sites with buddypress running. When I put the feeds into feed validators it says

I created a subscriber account here
