I installed buddypress and buddymatic, now when I go to my site or my dashboard, all I get is a plain white screen. Any ideas with what went wrong? I can’t even delete it and try again since my dashboard is blank. Any help is appreciated.

Same issue. I went in through FTP and deleted the BuddyMatic theme folder. Then went to mysite.com/wp-admin and picked a new theme.

I’m not sure, but it looks like all the folders for child themes and all that are in the BuddyMatic download. Maybe this is an issue with an auto download? Maybe not.

Blank screen = errors.

Go in via ftp, delete the theme. Then make sure you have the absolute latest version of the theme and the latest version of BP.

Andrea , I don’t think so, have latest versions of wpmu/bp and downloaded latest version I can find, for instance buddymatic is https://wordpress.org/extend/themes/buddymatic and the auto install on wmpu. This is the same for Sense and Sensibility, btw. white screen o’ death

Did you have BuddyPress activated before you switched to S&S? If not, that’s why.

I had this same error and realized it was a conflict with a plugin that I had installed – the BuddyPress Template Pack. I’d been trying to use the Thematic theme, and had the plugin installed for that (however, could not get the BuddyPress menu to show up in this theme). When I switched over to BuddyMatic, it all went white until I deleted that Template Pack plugin. After that, however, the page has been littered with errors that I have not resolved. But it does resolve the empty page.
