Guys, did this include Brajesh’s patch to work with his Gallery plugin?

    Hi Greg,

I posted this prior to this, but it is NOT included as the patch does not work entirely. It will likely be included in the next release, IF they can figure out what is what. Also, there is an issue with BuddyStream and Brajesh’s chat plugin that is not found yet. They are both connected with each other now, we will see what comes down the pike…

Excited. Will install and test right now.

However, the cronjob command that Buddypress gives does not seem to be in the right format? Or is it?

    */5 * * * * wget http://lamsocialclub.com/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php >/dev/null 2>&1

Thank you for the hard work guys. Installed latest version but the import.php file is throwing an error message:

‘Warning: include(wp-load.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/dev/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 13′

‘Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘wp-load.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/dev/wordpress’) in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/dev/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 13′

‘Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/dev/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 20′

Any ideas on what that could be causing this? Running new version of wordpress (3.0.2).

    Thanks,
    Chad

Ok, just tested and ran the cron. The import still does not seem to work.

In addition, I’m looking at the statistics tab of my dashboard for FB (http://lamsocialclub.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=buddystream_facebook&settings=statitics), and it says that 0 members are using the integration. However, I have to members using it.

    Amount of users: 3364
Amount of user using Facebook integration: 0
Percentage of users using Facebook integration: 0%

However, when I click on the USERS tab, it does list the two users using it.

Any thoughts why this might happen?

@latinosamoirir I have not spend much time looking at the stats… I will take a look at the current set and see what is happening. Try than manual import and see what is what…

    Also,

Please make sure you are all using the current release of BuddyPress and WP 3.0+. Also, there are some conflicts we are aware of… if you are having trouble with the plugin, disable other plugins and try. In addition, if you have a tricked-out theme, it may be causing issues as well…. try it with the default theme and see what happens.

I tried it manually, but got error messages below.

Warning: include(wp-load.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 13
Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘wp-load.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’/xxx’) in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 13
Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /xxx/wp-content/plugins/buddystream/import.php on line 20

@pisanojm. I tried your recommendations. I deactivated all plugins, updated WP and BP to the latest versions.

I ran the manual import. I did get a message: Facebook imported in 1.39195394516 seconds

However, out of the three users, only one of them was able to import 18 items. The other two do not have any items imported.

    Thoughts?

Updated. Now for some reason only one of my members is able to have youtube videos show in the recent activity. It doesn’t work for myself or anyone else.

    +1
facebook import is working for 2 out of 10 users on my site, maybe it has something to do with the facebook privacy settings?

also, im missing a few translations in the .po file (posted a video/status)

Do you have the ability to reset the facebook users (or a user that isn’t working) and have them retry?
Make sure that you don’t have any filters on when trying this or a limit set.

@ezeke can you submit a ticket at buddystream.net with the translation issues?

One of the things we have been discussing, is that need for a reset “all” users feature with buddystream -at least as we roll out these pre-releases/betas… Though this, in theory, shouldn’t be necessary – I have found that I have had to reset some of my users to make this work… no, I don’t know why…. yet.

@ezeke if the the privacy settings are set on Facebook to not show their updates in their public feed, this will not import them as they are “not there”. We need to confirm this though. If I have time, I can run through the scenario… or if you have time and can verify that would be great.

I know, you have now some important bugs to fix but nontheless, I´ll like to ask if it is possible to add myspace activitystream to buddystream ?

MySpace is not on the current short list for inclusion or discussion. If you would like this to be developed specifically, please consider sponsoring this code inclusion. You can contact us at buddystream.net with your thoughts/ideas.
