    @mercime

    This year, BuddyPress will be applying for and submitting BP project proposals as a stand-alone organization to the Google Summer of Code 2013. To that end, we’re building up our BP Project Ideas page for consideration and we’d like your help to add more ideas and make it more viable.

    We’ve started off the ideas list at the BP Development blog with the following:
    1. EnGrande Privacy & Moderation Component
    2. Extended Membership Levels and Registration
    3. Media albums
    4. Tie Private Messaging and Activity Streams and Commenting and Forums together
    5. Expand Relationship Types

    Please feel free to post your ideas in this thread or at the BP Development blog.

    Thank you for your participation.

    Maybe this one is too small or already covered by #1 but stealth for Super Admins.

    Maybe this one is too big, spam user registration countermeasures.

    Maybe this is also covered by #1 but I think @shanebp ‘s blocking a member would be awesome as well as @r-a-y ‘s plugin to keep non-friends from sending private message’s, I also liked @modemloopers extended settings plugin when it was free. Overall I really would like to see privacy features taken to the next level. Me being a novice at coding though, all I can do is make suggestions and hope the real coders take the idea and make it a reality! Thanks!

    It would be extremely useful to admins of communities to keep track of basic activity within the community. Things like how many members sign up or join, how many posts, comments, threads are made, how many members are inactive for past n days, how many have filled out profile, etc.

    This is functionality equivalent to maintaining a finger on the pulse of the community and tracking important variables to set goals, find out troublesome issues, measure growth, etc.

    Thank you @synaptic, added your idea at BP Devel

    @bphelp Crossing fingers that BP gets accepted GSoC 2013. Crossing fingers again that when that happens, one of the students will take on ideas we’re rooting for as project :-)

    @ubernaut @bphelp Grande means large in Italian and Spanish. I just added “En” :-)
    Sorry, didn’t mean to make it connfusing. It’s the marketing side of me which added it, lol.

    @1two3

    There’s a need for a Moodle style plugin (http://moodle.com/) to set up courses and quizzes, perhaps along the lines of https://www.coursera.org/.
