BuddyPress.org

I cannot change mine nor can anyone else change their avatar from the one issued. I can browse to the picture I want to use, it acts like it uploads, then there is nothing. It says that I can crop my new avatar but the place where it should be is blank.

I am using Buddypress version 1.2.2.1. I am not sure of the version of WPMU but I would assume it is the latest version since I only installed it day before yesterday directly from wordpress.

Any thoughts on what the problem may be. I browsed the other posts and found some similar problems and tried what they said and nothing worked.
