Cannot localise ‘Favorite Topics’ in WordPress toolbar in Buddypress 1.6

    I run a British English website so I have a custom .po translation file in wp-content/languages to take care of the minor differences between it and US English.

    However since the introduction of the WordPress Toolbar in place of the Buddybar in Buddypress 1.6 there is an option in the menu under ‘Forums’ for ‘Favorite Topics’ which I cannot seem to change. Is this not alterable through the .po file? If not, how can I change it?

    I’d also like to change the ‘Howdy, (user)’ greeting at the top of the menu to something more suitable: ‘Welcome’, for instance. Can this also be changed?
