    @banata

    Hello, I just upgrade to latest BP 1.7 from 1.6
    I notice, that some of old component still intact after I convert it
    for example in BP setting under the page , I still have Discussion forums component and search page component, how to delete it?
    Im using bbpress for BP 1.6 (using automatically install under BP setting), and after upgrade to 1.7 , I assume, I need to install bbpress separately, is it correct? If it is indeed true, how to delete the old bbpress? right now I just install bbpress 2.x and now have 2 forum installed.

    regards,

    ahhhh, thanx, I miss that page

    btw, on this article

    4) Disable BuddyPress’ Forums Component

    In the WP admin dashboard, navigate to “Settings > BuddyPress“. Click on the “Components” tab.
    Uncheck “Discussion Forums” and save.

    I didnt find “discussion Forums” , instead in my installation, there is “Group Forums (Legacy)”
    is it the same?

    thanx for the explanation

    Search page? There is no Search component. Is that a plugin you installed to add a search component?

    I thought so, but I dont install any search mods, and strangely its appeared in my buddypress pages setting, here the screen shoot :

    Double check. This only happens if a BuddyPress component is added. A theme can add components.

    https://buddypress.org/support/topic/resolved-search-page-component-missing/

    I use same themes, using custom community too

    So many problems with that theme. >.< They probably added a component via the theme and it's outdated code.

    @modemlooper

    Themes that were made before 1.7 may have issues as most are a derivative of the bp-default theme. Especially if they include a lot of custom template files and code.
