Configuring BuddyPress on Membership Site

I have a client that has a membership site and would like to integrate a social community but ONLY in the paid membership area. Is there a way to configure BP so that it is only available for paying members to register? Any thoughts on how to set that up? – a social community for site members only.
I am using WP-Member plugin for my membership settings.
