Courseware Assignments – Pactical Findings experience – Suggestion to integrate with Lectures

Hi I am curious to see peoples findings in regards to Assignments, I would like to be able to integrate them more into the lecture, currently I have to place a link into a lecture, leading to an assignment which is kind of like a lecture with a quiz.
What I am suggesting is to place the quiz inside the lecture or better linking options to the lecture – Findings anyone?currently the assignment is linked to a lecture and shows a link to a lecture, but not the other way around, I do not quite understand this and it would be nice if it is two ways. example:
Lecture 1 – link to assignment 1
assignment 1 – link to lecture 1
etc.
