Courseware Showcase
-
I’m intrigued by this application and may have some use for it in the future for a client or two. However, without screenshots or a link to a site actively using it, I don’t want to have to build my own sample site just to see it working.
So, if you’re using this plugin could you provide a link to your site so I could check it out, please?

Made this thread sticky.
I know a couple of websites running Courseware, but I’m not allowed to post such information without their permission.
Hope this thread gets populated soon.Thanks for asking btw., I am just as curious as you are

Is SP courseware compatable with wp 3.04? and if so do you recommend using bp default theme? (or is there another you recommend?)
Thanks
Looking forward to see a live preview as well… Thumbs up!
@hoenera I am using WP 3.0.4 and BP. I have attempted to use a different them and customize it for use with BP but the conversion directions are lacking and I have yet to make BP work 100% with the converted theme. Depending on your skill and patience level, you may want to use a them built exclusively for use iwth BP.
I suggest you make child themes based on default theme. It’s the best approach if you have no previous experience in creating BuddyPress themes.
Btw, looks like the best would be to setup a preview site by myself

Unfortunately, I want to continue my visual branding and need to use this particular theme. It is my belief converting a theme should not be this difficult of a challenge ESPECIALLY if BuddyPress wants to increase usage and market share. Creating a system for use with one of the most flexible CMS engine around with thousands of themes will inhibit the plugin’s growth. I have at least 3 clients who want to use this system but until it can work with their current themes and visual branding (or I become an expert at recoding themes for use with BP) it just won’t happen.
Still very interested in seeing ScholarPress in action. I think it will be a perfect addition to my goals for 2011.
Ok, I’ll see how can I help.
Keep in touch.A demo of latest Courseware on latest WordPress & BuddyPress can be found here:

I m using courseware plugin on my site. you can check it.
http://www.upscguide.inI’m in the beginning stages of courseware implementation, but feel free to check my site out as well: http://studypalette.com/
Any comments would be appreciated.@upscguide … nice to be able to see the course in action. I’m a bit confused upon arrival, though; so from a usability standpoint you may want to give the home page a bit more clarity. … and the popunder at click is nasty making the site flicker with every link.
@Stas Sushkov Nice to see the courseware …
@jyakkudesu Good job!
I am working on getting Courseware working on our setup in a K-12 environment. We have a pretty complex WP setup. We have integrated LDAP, WP Multisite, Buddypress, BigBlueButton web conf., Kaltura Video editing, and now we are hoping to add Courseware for a very dynamic and powerful web publishing platform for our teachers, students, and community.

@Bornnel, sorry, but your message looks more like spam.
How exactly you are using Courseware?Thanks.
U can check the group by creating a group then you activate the Courseware. Thats all you need then they or you starts using it. Simple…
When u through with do doing that.. get back to meThanks waiting to hear your response.
@Bornnell Don’t you realize that @sushkov developed that plugin? He knows how it works. Your hosting provider suspended your account, you must be a spammer….
I implemented BPSPCW for http://EpilepsyU.com, Our non-profit, Epilepsy Association of Central Florida maintains this site for the general public for Epilepsy resources, community and education. Scholarpress Courseware has proved invaluable for our system and we really hope that development continues on this plugin (Thanks Stas!). We integrated mTouch Quiz to provide awesome quizzes that work on mobile but we would really like to see quizzes added as a core feature to BPSPCW with auto grading.
@xsnow nice, really nice!
I’m using Courseware on this site:
http://classroom.daisypeel.com
Of course, you won’t see anything, because I’m using it in conjunction with s2member and custom capabilities. A student signs up and pays for a class, they’re given the custom capability for that class, and then they automatically get access to that class.
I’m SO looking forward to the BP update and hopefully the Courseware tabs will work again (can’t create assignments right now but the forums work fine for me). Right now CW is limited in its functionality because of the BP/CW versions I’m using, but I’m looking forward to the future.
@peeld thanks.
Nice work with the classroom.@xsnow why talking like this… this site is real My note a Spammer… Inspyme is a social Network where student in campuses can use courseware……for easy learing…for not it is down beacuse for some bad issues..Please dont be to straight foward……For The Master Stas Suscov….. I will get to you when is ready…i hope to see more of CW update.. I Love the CW
Stas,
Thanks. Now that I’ve updated to BP 1.5, I can access all the assignment/lecture/quiz functionality. It’s REALLY cool, I’m excited for the NEXT session of classes!! So far my students are enjoying it too, I’m super happy that I can instruct online AND I’ve created a little social network. Super cool, thanks
Just gotta work some of the quiz kinks out and I’ll be using that functionality! I love the lecture capability…A pretty cool usecase of Courseware:
