Hi!
I am about to start developin a complete live-feed for BP.

I have seen the limitations in the available livefeed, I understand why there are those limitations and I have an idea about how to create an complete live-feed.

The needs: A live-feed that shows ALL(should of course be configurable) activities on a site, such as: “X uploaded a photo”, “Y commented on X’s photo”, and so on for videos and music uploads and every thing that U can think of a need for in the live-feed.

The difficulties: Members video, photo and music-galleries are separate plugins developed by a third party, and we can not expect the third-parties to have a “standard” when developing, so their plugins supports the live-feed.

The solution: Developing a base-script, open-source, for a live-feed, + a tutorial about where in the databases for the plugins to find the information needed for a live-feed, and how to implement those in the live-feed script.

My knowledge: some Php and SQL coding.

I can’t do this by myself. I don’t have the knowledge needed, but we are many people here!
Let’s do this together in a group, and supply the PB-world with a wery good and costumizable live-feed, something I noticed many people looking for.

Where to begin:
This is an idea, if someone have other better solutions(I’m sure You have), i am all ears:
Collect latest activities out of the different databases, put them in arrays(number of activities costumizable of course), then an array that collects the desired number of activities out of the arrays made from the different databases. This array feeds the live-feed.
This is about how far I can think of now. I will start to find out where in the different databases the interesting material is found.
I can also provide us with a server and domain for developing purposes if we become a group.
