Digest doesn’t shows äöå

Thanks for a great plugin.
I use it in WP3.01 & BP1.2.6 in a Swedish installaton.
Unfortunately, the digests do not show äåö. The direct email reports work fine.
Any idea?

nor does this forum! I’d like to work on the digest so that they work for other character sets. if anyone has advice, please help out. I tried once and failed.

i don’t use the plugin but BuddyPress’s email notifications output like this:

even though the post online looks fine…

is there a way to “tell” BuddyPress to choose a character set that works?
