directory setup

I would like to know if its possible to install WPMU with BUDDYPRESS in a main directory of domain.com setup not subdomain. As for the members, it shows domain.com/members and for other features like blog, groups, etc but as for users’ blog. Can I modify the htaccess file or mysql to make sure every blog will be under domain.com/blogs/username instead domain.com/username?

I know it might be complicated to set it up that way. I wanted to run our own wpmu for domain.com while members will be under blogs however members and other features will be under domain.com/xxxx. Is it possible? Let me know so I can prepare my project immediately.

    Thanks!

  • Yes, install WPMU with subdirectory type. I’m not sure if on this type of install the blogs go into e.g. /blogs/username, but even if they don’t, this should be a setting we can change.

Set up a test install just to check the default behaviour on a subdirectory-type install
