displays link, not embedded video

In my Buddypress forums I’ve created topics and included links to YouTube videos. The topic simply displays the link, nothing more. Following the link simply goes to a full-screen version of the video.

I have no clue where to begin troubleshooting this.

@spinhead – You’re using the wrong YouTube link.

You should be using:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeD9jsyOLAs

Vimeo requires “&iframe=false” i believe to work correctly how would I add that. Presently it showing up blank for Vimeo embeds

Nope, you shouldn’t need to add anything to the end of a Vimeo link.

Do not use the embed code but just the URL for the video.

eg.

`http://vimeo.com/18661699`
