If I wanted to create a link in a widget that allowed the user an easy way to edit their avatar, what would the link be that I would need to create ?
(Considering everyone’s page is going to be unique to them)

As a thought wouldn’t going to the profile work or is it a specific requirement to link directly to the avatar?

    Thanks Hugo.
Sorry for being a noob, ,but my plan was to just add a text widget to the sidebar and create a graphic with a link.
How would I put the php code into an html link?

You would need to use a PHP code widget like:
    https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/php-code-widget/

Use extreme caution when using such a widget. If you’re the only person that is able to access the Widgets page on your site, then you should be fine.

Btw, a shorter way to write that code is:

So I feel I am being lead away from HTML and towards a new art of php.

Making an html link, calling the image, adding the link, placing it, sizing it, all makes sense to me. But working that php into this, or with this somehow, or re-writting this in php, still doesn’t make sense to me, sorry.
