Edit single profile view

Hi!

I’m sorry for this question, but it seems like I’m just too new in Buddypress…

However, I actually just want to edit the view of a single profile. I want either to disable the tabs (activity, profile, …) that appear, if somebody clicks on a user (so that profile information and activity streams appear on one page without tabs), or just to set, that the profile-view is being opened first.

I’d really appreciate if somebody could help me to find out where I can change this or which file in the (standard) template I have to edit?

well, no reply, but I found a file that manages what I wanted to do. so if you want to do something similar, have a look at

<bp_dir>/bp-themes/bp-default/members/single/home.php

You found the right place, patlan.

If you want to edit the files there, though, you’ll want to copy them to a child theme, and edit them there. Your changes in your child theme will override the defaults, and future upgrades to Buddypress won’t end up overwriting your edits.

Search the site here or ask if you need more info on making a child theme. Once you get your head around it, it’s very easy to do.
