Embedding images via tinymce toolbar icon

Thanks for this great plugin. It is a really nice addition to Buddypress.

It would be great to enable the ability to embed images within documents. While we can use the <img src=" directly in the HTML view, it would be great to see a toolbar icon in the tinymce, similar to the hyperlink icon, that prompts you for the URL of the image you wish to embed. This keeps the process simple (ie. not exposing the standard WordPress upload/image UI)

Is there a way to add this to the plugin manually or is this something this can be considered for a future version?

I’ve added this to Git (https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-docs/issues/78)

    Thanks!

Good idea. You can probably add this now already by adding your own TinyMCE button (I’m pretty sure that there is one that does just what you say), but it’s something that I’ll consider including in the future. Thanks for posting on Github where I can keep track :)

Thanks for the reply. I’m currently testing with the TinyMCE Advanced plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tinymce-advanced/). While it does offer additional complexity to the mix, it does seem to be doing the job until it makes its way to the docs plugin.
