    @kvron

    With the lates nightly biul (bp_album_2010-06-25.zip) I get the following error:

    Unable to open uploaded file. This content type is not supported.

    This error appears even whith pictures I had already uploaded with the previous nightly builds.
    Also, all other pics I already are not showing.

    WP: 3.0
    BP: 1.2.4.1
    Hosting: site5.com

    One of the images that trigger the error (actually, any .jpg image triggers that error!):
    http://endurango.com/1.jpg
    (warning: It’s a girl in bikini)

    As I said, I already uploaded this image with no problem using previous nightly builds…

    Thank you!

    Also, I get an error here on buddypress (There was an error handling that image, please try again) with a valid jpg image when trying to change my avatar picture. I guess it’s the same script version with the same error!

    @KVron You’ve probably run out of upload space on your WordPress install. Go to the WP “Dashboard” menu and check the value in “Storage Space”. Is this value maxed out?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    I have 1000MB Space Allowed and 0MB (0%) Space Used.

    None of my test users can upload images…

    Thank you.

    @KVron Then I would probably say there is a problem with your directory permissions or some sort of configuration error on your server, such as not enough memory being assigned to PHP.

    I cannot replicate the problem you have described on any of our test servers using the sample image you have provided. Or even a hundred copies of it.

    tried with the same image too using WP3.0, BP 1.2.4.1 & bp_album_2010-06-25.zip, no issues here.

    Its still important we find the root cause of this problem, even if its isolated to this specific user’s install. It is crucial that BP Album+ operates properly in *all* hosting environments.

    @foxly, agree completely.
    The main Issues I am having with the nightly builds (besides back end features not implemented yet) are due to not starting with fresh database tables.
    @KVron have you tried deactivating the nightly build, dropping related DB tables & reactivating the nightly build?

    playing with nightly builds like this, we should expect & report problems.

    It’s working now… after I deactivated and deleted both the nightly build and tables and did a fresh install.

    The following didn’t work for me:
    1. Deactivating/activating the plugin
    2. Deleting and then uploading the nightly build without deleting tables (I didn’t remove the old files when I first upgraded)

    Of course, the previous images were lost but I don’t care, I’m testing :)

    Do I have to delete old files and tables every time in order to test the nightly builds? Is that what you are doing to test the RC’s?

    @foxly

    @KVron Yes, but only for nightly builds. Proper release candidates will handle all table migration automatically.

    @KVron glad it’s working for you now.
    Uploading nightly builds doesn’t run through a proper DB update so problems should be expected.
    @foxly is well on top of things, so once we get a stable/RC release, I’m sure we will see an end to these issues.
    keep testing & reporting though, better to get any issues ironed out now…
