Error in uploading avatars

    I have some problem in uploading avatars.. I have GD library installed and i can upload and crop images fine, but they dont show up on the profile..

    Here’s the error i get 

    Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home/dailyapp/ignitte/wp-content/blogs.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /home/dailyapp/ignitte/wp-admin/includes/image.php on line 71

    It seemed to be working fine for sometime, but since yest this error has been coming.. the wp-content has 755 permissions though

    There is something wrong with your configuration. No files should be going to /wp-content/<files>

    Where is your ‘uploads’ directory go to? Looks like wp is trying to write to your /wp-content directory. Bad idea. Very bad idea.

    i thought the uploads directory is usually in wp-content isn’t it?
