feature request – choose to create custom landing page

I’m creating a community site, not just a blog with community functions, but a site. I think it would be useful to be able to create a page in WP, and for BP to provide an option to make that page the landing page, the way that one may do in the dashboard with the drag and drop menu ordering.

You can do that now. Go into settings and choose a static front page.
