For some reason, in forums, when I create a category, then a forum, then a topic, my topic is being shown in all forums. Is there a bug? Anyone have a fix?

When there is only 1 topic, it even says:

    Viewing 3 topics – 1 through 1 (of 3 total)

Viewing 9 replies - 1 through 9 (of 9 total)

@fptcom you’re going to need to be more specific than that

Alright, I’ll give you my whole setup.

    – I have 2 forum categories (Cat 1 and Cat 2)
    – Each category has 2 forums in each (Forum 1, Forum 2, Forum 3, Forum 4)

Whenever I make a topic in any given forum, it appears in every single forum. For example, if I made a topic in Forum 1, it also appears in 2, 3, 4.

Right now I have 3 topics total. (1 in each forum)

    It even says:
This forum contains 1 topic, and was last updated by admin 4 hours, 30 minutes ago.

Yet, all 3 of the topics are showing.

    Is this a known issue?

WP, BP and bbPress versions? Have never seen the issue you posted above. Basic troubleshooting, change to twenty twelve theme and deactivate plugins except BuddyPress and bbPress.

@mercime – Everything is the latest versions. I tried disabling all plugins (including BuddyPress) and just leave bbPress, and I also switched to twenty twelve theme, but I’m still having the same issue.

    I’ll give you an example:

    http://www.freepogotokens.com/forums/forum/rules-and-announcements/official-announcements/

That is the “Official Announcements” forum. But the RULES topic is in there, when it should just be in the “Rules” forum.

It gets even weirder in the “Introduce Yourself” forum, which is on an entire different category.

    http://www.freepogotokens.com/forums/forum/new-members/introduce-yourself/

As you can see, there are topics in there that even say ” Started by: admin in: Rules ” and ” Started by: admin in: Official Announcements ”

Why would those topics be in there when they are clearly in different categories and forums?

@fptcom How have you set the forums up? Have you created new wordpress pages and used shortcodes? Also, If you’ve disabled all plugins minus bbPress have you posted/looked through http://www.bbpress.org for similar problems? A small note, I found setting up bbPress slightly annoying as well, have you messed with the basic settings etc?

@mattg123 – everything is the original settings. I haven’t changed any settings. Everything is setup the basic way, I haven’t created any pages or used any short codes. I did try searching for similar problems on bbpress.org, but there is nothing there. I even disabled bbpress, deleted, re-downloaded, and re-installed it, and I am having the same issue.

Haha, just found out the issue. I was making these topics “Super Sticky” – didn’t know that meant showing up on EVERY single forum. OK fixed. Thanks for the help all.
