I’m using 1.1 and an existing bbpress installation for the forums. How do I determine where posts created at BuddyPress are added to the existing forums on bbpress? For instance, I have a BuddyPress forum named “Ledes.” Posting a forum message in Ledes on BuddyPress creates the post on bbpress – but in the “Broadcasting” forum.

How do I determine the destination for forum posts created in BuddyPress? Is my only option to delete the original bbpress forums and re-create them from within BuddyPress?

Are your datas in the new tables named wp_bb_xxxx ?

Is one of the DEFINE in bb_config correctly set to db name=wp_bb_ ?

Is the bb_config at the site root ?

Chouf1: I have wp_, bb_ and bp_ tables inside the same database.

DJ: Yes. I prefer the way BB handles forums to BP’s – plus it is easier to modify a BB theme to mesh with BP than it is to modify the groups and forums.

As to my original question, I moved my original BB forums to a defunct category, then re-created the themes from inside BP. I’m now able to post to those BB forums from within BP.
