    The site is always http://cureuphoria.com

    WP 2.9.2 (single)

    BP 1.2.3

    BP Template Pack installed

WP is installed in a subfolder, with index.php in the root.

When I try to create a topic in a group, nothing at all happen.

It may be useful to know that I had a version of bbPress already installed and synchronized with WP.

Since I don’t ned that forum aymore and want to use teh forums features within BP, I did the following:

    1) Deactivated the “bbPress Integration” plugin (which allowed synchro between WP and bbPress)

    3) Renamed the “forum” folder that holded the old bbPress installation

    2) In BuddyPress > Forum Settings: I re-installed forums using a new bbPress installation

The “bb-config.php” is indeed in the first level of the subfolder in which WP is installed.

In the database, I the table from the old bbPress insatllation are still there (bb_).

The new one too, with no data in it (wp_bb_).

So, why can’t users create forums?

(I am so tired of trying to make things work properly, it’s a neverending battle, gosh…).

By the way, what I get when trying to create a new topic is this:

There was an error when creating the topic

Not very helpful, but this is it.

    Anyone?

Anyone who has a clue about this? Please?

You understand I need forums, right?

You could try enabling and disabling the forum component from “BuddyPress > Component setup” to see if that helps.

Also login to any group’s admin page and disable discussion forum, then re-enable it. Then try posting a forum topic.

    Does that work?

    @r-a-y TODAY YOU’RE MY HERO!!!

    I’ M SORRY… SUPER-HERO!!!

I thanks you sooo much for this.

As basic as it was, I didn’t even think about enableing the component and the group froum (I did both).

    IT WORKS NOW!

Ouuf…! That really was killing me.

Now it’s just a matter of styling the whole thing, but that is never a problem!

Just tell me what you need… Anything…

    ;-)
