The Version downloadable from github/google code has many errors on a fresh install – it requires several files that don’t exist in the /core/utils folder. Finding those files by google searching and placing in the correct folder causes another error, something about the RZ class not existing. I can be specific if someone requests.

    It sure does!

The GitHub version is not intended to be installed on a live website. It’s a work in progress.

BP-Media is actually a set of five different plugins:

Razor, our unit test platform (RAZ)

    https://github.com/WP-Razor

Hydra, our front-end javascript framework (HYD)

    https://github.com/WP-Hydra

    FoxFire, our data silo (FOX)

    https://github.com/FoxFire

and BP-Media Core (BPM), the main application

    https://github.com/BP-Media/bp-media

To use the demos, you’ll also need the test-content:

    https://github.com/BP-Media/test-content

    And the templates:

    https://github.com/BPM-Themes

When ALL of these are installed on your server (over 500K lines of code and 350MB of files), and after you compile Hydra using the included script, BP-Media will  light-up and let you play with stuff.

In the beta release, BP-Media will have a very sophisticated installer that will automatically download and compile everything on-the-fly. But if you want to play with it now, you’ll have to put in some work.
