Help Me Delete Stuck Notification…

    @pisanojm

    I’ve looked in the mysql database and can’t seem to find the exact message causing the problem…

    Scenario:
    I had a person request to “join a private group”… This group was then made public… now the request is notification is “stuck”… I’ve tried making the group private again and to no avail…. The notification has not disappeared…

    The notification is in the form: USER X requests to join the GROUPX

    I’ve checked the mysql tables under wp-bp-notifications… can’t make heads nor tails of what’s in there… there are a couple of thousand entries…

    Can anyone help me figure out where this is so I can delete it?

    Ok… so @brajesh was able to point be in the right direction on this…

    The problem is that I was looking for a user ID of the person that sent the request that was trying to join the group… what I needed to do was SEARCH for my User ID in the wp-bp-notification table… this had the user’s id making the request listed as an ITEM not a userID (as the user ID was mine)…. once I deleted that it went away…

    FYI: You can find User IDs in the tables themselves or you can use a plugin called REVEAL ID to find IDs in the WordPress back end…

    Thanks Brajesh!
