Help with the “Please create an account to get started.” message on homepage.

On the homepage (in the widgets bar) it does not allow unregistered/not logged in users to see the create account message, i have set it to anyone can register, and it shows the message on all other pages – using BP default theme.

Are you using the bp-default theme? If you are, are you using a customized homepage template?

Try disabling all your plugins except BuddyPress and see if you are able to see the register link afterwards.
