After the update… and updating many plugins at once… (darn it)

My hidden groups are completely hidden.

When signed in, select groups… It shows 1 to 2 groups however it only displays the 1 public group. This features was working fine for many months and has effected every member. The public and private appear to function properly.

I have searched the forum here and can not find anything that helps…

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Having exactly the same issue. Any ideas?

Running WP 3.9.1 and BuddyPress 2.0.1

Can you share more details about the problem?

– Can you see the groups in question in the Dashboard? Dashboard > Groups
– Are you logged in as an administrator or a normal user?
– Is the logged-in user a member of the groups in question?
– Can you see the groups when you go to example.com/members/yourmembername/groups?

Yes I can

Yes I am

– Can you see the groups when you go to example.com/members/yourmembername/groups?
No

But I can see on my activity feed that I joined the hidden group and can access the group link from there. eg. example.com/groups/hiddengroupname, but that’s the only way I can access it.

I’m having the same issue as brightestspark.

I’m using the s2member plugin, which could be causing the problem, but I’m wary to turn it off to explore on my live site (are the rest of you using this plugin as well? any other likely culprits?). Anyone solved this issue or have insight that could help solve the problem?
