thanks that worked! is there a way to change the welcome to text that accompanies the icon? on mine it says welcome to g …..cuts off thename of site ..i just want it to be my site name thanks!
*** i figured out its pulling the actual site name so i just have to change that …works but would be nice to have some flexibility to have a different site name for the mobile and the regular version

Bookmark the page you want to add to a home screen
Go to the home screen you want to add the link to
long-press in an empty space to bring up the “Add to Home Screen” menu
select “Shortcuts”
select “Bookmark”
choose your bookmark!
