How do I add all blogs I have contributor or above rights to under ‘My Blogs’?

I need to add all blogs under My Blogs that a user has contributor, author or editor access to. I have tried this method http://codex.buddypress.org/how-to-guides/modifying-the-buddypress-admin-bar/ but it doesn’t work. Has anyone been able to come up with a solution that works?
