How do I edit the links in the navigation tabs?

Alright, I’m hoping this is a somewhat simple fix. On the navigation bar of my site (on buddypress.org, it would be the one showing Home, About, Blog, etc.), the Home tab takes me to the default page. I have made a homepage, but I’m not sure how to use it instead of the default.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Assuming you’ve made it as a page template and assigned it then you want to go under settings > reading and there you can set the pages for the front and also blog posts.
