How to create plain text emails?

Is it possible for the Activation emails to be simple, plain text emails? I noticed that there are two templates available with this plugin — BP Default and Simplicity. Both are really great templates, however, I prefer no design elements at all. Can this be achieved?

Not out of the box. If you add and use a custom plain text email template, then remove lines https://github.com/paulgibbs/Welcome-Pack/blob/master/welcome-pack.php#L568 568-5790 might work.

Some follow up questions I have:

1. How do I go about adding my own custom email template?

2. Instead of adding my own custom email template, would it be possible to simply edit the “simplicity.php” file? I was looking at the file and noticed there is a style tag.
