How to disable reply option on comments.

Hi, I installed buddypress 1.2 everything is going fine but I dont want users to reply to a comment. For example if there is any activity by certain users I want my users to post a comment on that activity but not on the comment that is posted for the related activity. I don’t know if you guys understand this or not; sorry for being dumb.

Can I clarify you mean BuddyPress 1.5 or BuddyPress 1.2.8? Either way you would want to look at this for some pointers:

This might not be the ideal way to do it, but if you are looking for a quick fix, you can hide the reply button with CSS.

its bp 1.2.8; and the above mention methods are not working. i would be so thankful if anyone can give me a step by step instruction to this. Please.
